Meditation In The Garden

Are you feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, and constantly anxious? Is your mind bombarded by too many thoughts, or from negative imagery from the news, or social media? Is your body holding too much tension? Are you experiencing significant changes that are impacting your life? If any of this is true for you, I would like to invite you to Meditation in the Garden.

Meditation in the Garden is a month long wellness series brought to you by Sanctum LLC. and the St. George Village Botanical Garden. Every Saturday starting on March 1st from 10-11am we will gather to practice yoga nidra.

Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice that is done laying down on the back with a guide leading the session. Known as sleepless sleep or yogic sleep it eases the body into a state of deep relaxation while the mind remains aware. This then allows the mind and body to heal and rejuvenate. Here are some of the many benefits of yoga nidra:

• resets and balances the nervous system

• activates the vagus nerve

• moves out of survival mode

• calms hyper vigilance and limbic impairment

• improves the body’s systems

• restores calm

• relaxes the body

To attend, you will need whatever makes you comfortable. You may bring a blanket, sheet, mat and pillows. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Age range for the class 13 and up. Click here to register. I look forward to seeing you.
